Up White Rocks Prev Next Slideshow

Looking down at the Ice Beds, it seems like just a field of rock, but it is hard to get a sense of scale... many of those boulders are the size of automobiles and in many places the gaps between them are large enough for a person to climb down, out of sight, until you hit ice (rain and snow flows down into the spaces and freezes during the winter... the ice lasts all year 'round, hence the name).
